The Interagency Center is a Crisis Center for children that serve child and juvenile victims of domestic, physical, and sexual abuse. Located in the post-interview room, the "Healing Mandala" Light Sculpture is an interactive work that responds to touch. The three panels of the sculpture remain pink until a child touches a panel. That panel then changes color, slowly moving through warmer tones, and as long as the child's hand remains in contact with the piece it continues to cycle through various colors. When the child takes their hand off the panel it then reverts to its original color. This piece is meant to empower children in a small way at a very difficult time in their lives. This piece was created in collaboration with Nina Borgia-Aberle.
