Social Media Specialist/Photographer

Position Summary:
The Social Media Specialist/Photographer will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager and will be responsible for promoting our unique projects and brand through engaging social media content. This individual will develop and implement social media strategies, take professional photos and videos, and actively grow our online presence in alignment with our overall marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. They should also thrive in a collaborative team setting while being self-motivated and resourceful.

 

While initially part-time, this position offers the flexibility to grow into a full-time role. For a candidate with the right skillset and preferred qualifications, we are happy to consider a full-time role from the start. Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation - Take professional photographs and videos of projects during various stages of production for use in social media, marketing materials, and client communication.

  • Social Media Strategy - Develop and implement social media strategies that align with the company’s broader marketing goals.

  • Social Media Management - Manage and grow social media accounts across platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, ensuring consistent brand identity and messaging.

  • Community Engagement - Actively engage with online audiences by responding to comments, messages, and mentions while maintaining the brand’s voice and tone.

  • Analytics and Reporting - Analyze performance metrics and create monthly social media analytics reports to measure effectiveness, track growth, and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborative Campaigns - Work with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute innovative campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.

  • General Marketing Support - Support other marketing initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by the Marketing & Communications Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience managing social media platforms for a business or brand.

  • 2+ years of experience with professional photography and videography, including the use of DSLR or mirrorless cameras.

  • Strong visual storytelling skills with an eye for compelling imagery and design.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.) or similar software for photo and video editing.

  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to craft engaging captions and posts tailored to specific audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Active driver’s license for occasional on-location shoots.

 

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in social media marketing, particularly within the arts and design industry.

  • Experience operating drones for video and photography.

  • Experience in graphic design.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization.

  • Spanish speaking proficiency.

  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
