Creative Machines partnered with Salpointe Catholic High School to provide real-world, hands on experiences for students in Engineering 102HS, a University of Arizona Introduction to Engineering course offered in several Arizona high schools. The students are participating in a national program called EPICS, or Engineering Projects In Community Service. They work on projects for the community that utilize their engineering skills. Groups of students are paired with mentor engineers who volunteer countless hours of their time to help the students in their projects. Creative Machines employee Josh Gill is one such volunteer. His group of four students is building a wheelchair swing to donate to a local organization called AIRES which offers residential living and day programs for people with developmental disabilities. #gallery-7 { margin: auto; } #gallery-7 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-7 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-7 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
