Earlier this month, Creative Machines journeyed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital to install not one, but two projects! The first being Sprouts, and the second being Flowers!
Flowers is a group of twenty-six colorful flowers and pinwheel shapes located in five ceiling alcoves throughout the new emergency room addition at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The artwork will create a welcoming environment for young patients and visitors. The goal of the artwork is to make patients feel comfortable as they move through the emergency center by replacing what is typically a clinical atmosphere with spaces filled with color, optimism, and cheer.
The artwork was installed by three members of the Creative Machines team over 3 days. The team drilled and anchored the flowers directly to the ceiling in several small alcoves and hung the flowers in the large alcove from the existing ceiling structure.
