MOXI Updates

We are still hard at work creating fun and engaging exhibits for MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation. MOXI is currently being built in Santa Barbara, CA and is set to open early 2017.

Under the direction of Ty Augsburger, our key team of exhibit designers, Josh Gill, Kat Hewey, and Kate Psych have been working vigorously alongside our exceptional electronics team, led by David Irving. The 37 exhibits that are set to fill the new museum will inspire creativity and wonder, encouraging kids of all ages to learn new things and challenge their minds. It has been an exciting process testing each of these unique exhibits as our fabrication team brings the designs to life.

Some of the exhibits shown below include, Weather Orchestra, Light Patterns, Color Mixing Machine, Walk Leap Jump, Handprint Globe, Build it Test it Race it, and Heartbeat Drum. #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Our Creative Machines shop is located on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation. We are nestled in the heart of Tucson, Arizona, a vibrant, culture-rich city, both presently and historically. This land was home to some of the earliest people in North America, the Hohokam, and we honor and respectfully acknowledge the indigenous nations that have stewarded this land since time immemorial. Today, Arizona is home to 22 federally recognized tribes, with Tucson being home to the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
