Latent Energy has recently been installed in front of the Fred Pirkle Engineering & Technology Center at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas! The center is home to new facilities for the Department of Agricultural and Industrial Sciences. Latent Energy depicts a hydrocarbon molecule rising out of the ground reaching the height of the surrounding buildings. The iconic sculpture celebrates the Fred Pirkle Engineering & Technology Center and SHSU’s signature programs. Latent Energy is back from powder coating and now our electronics team is hard at work installing the interactive lighting elements. Once completed, Latent Energy will make its way to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
We have begun fabrication on Latent Energy! This sculpture will be permanently installed in front of the brand new Fred Pirkle Engineering & Technology Center located at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The new center marks the main entrance to the west side of SHSU. The sculpture will be made up of many acrylic spheres held together in a steel frame.
